The Hatcher Graduate Library offers a wealth of resources in traditional as well as digital formats, encompassing more than 8.5 million print volumes and one of the finest digital collections in the world. Hatcher is also home to many of U-M's unique collections, including the Audubon Room, the university's famed papyrology collection, the Asia Library, and the Special Collections Research Center. It is located on U-M's Diag, next to Angell Hall and the Shapiro Undergraduate Library.

The original building, which faces the Diag, was dedicated in 1920.
